DESCRIPTION
‘WHAT IS SAMADHI ?’ is a handmade extract from the Samadhi handbook on the subject of the deep meditation state itself. The practice of Samadhi is the key objective of the yogi, bringing the only true one-in-one with the Self. It rests upon a fundamental understanding of yogic psychology and the relationship between individual and universal reality. In this booklet, the how is left temporarily aside, chiefly trying to define this altered state of being within the totality of meditative practices, which ultimately all lead to it. To fundamentally change our subconscious programming, we need to step out of it, truly move beyond. We can learn to recognize Samadhi and master the steps that bring us there. Equally discussed are the coming out of Samadhi, different qualities of Samadhi and how to deepen Samadhi. We need to know how to live with Samadhi and what to do with some resulting visions and special powers, including the gaining of support from the spiritual dimensions. It is described how all of this produces a fundamental transformation of our dear Ego. As the phoenix rises from its ashes, Samadhi becomes our natural state, even while interacting with the world. That will finally truly liberate us, after which it may be game over or not, as we desire.
This booklet is part of a series of small books extracted from “Samadhi – The Deep Meditation Handbook”, a two-volume work with over 600 pages on reaching the deepest states of meditation. Samadhi is the highest of yogic practices, a trance state where body consciousness is entirely lost and a gradual full merging with the Self is gained. It requires daily sustained meditation practice, supported by some major changes to our lifestyle, attitudes and desires. It is nevertheless everyone’s birthright, even when living as a householder yogi.
ORDER your copy in these outlets, where you can usually choose between an e-book and a paperback for all booklets that are Samadhi Handbook extracts:
The entirety of the yogic tradition is revealed as originating from the Self, bridging the illusion of a gap between nonduality and other practices.
The practitioners of yoga postures, breath, mantra, or meditation should not be confused about whether all of that is helpful on the spiritual path, or just some distraction produced by the ego.
